Conditions for Walks and other Activities (Bus tours, kayak, horse-riding from other companies than Ísafjörður Guide), Tour-packages (TP), Helga Ingeborg Hausner / Ísafjörður Guide (IG)

Please read carefully the terms and conditions of the contract. By booking a Walk/TP, you agree to be bound by these conditions, which constitute the agreement between you and Helga Hausner/Ísafjörður Guide. These conditions apply in addition to any other terms and conditions specifically agreed between me and you.
1 reservation and payment
By reservation costumers need to pay a booking fee about 5% of the whole price. It is not refundable.
The reservation of a Tour-Package is valid only after a deposit of 30 % of the total price. Otherwise the promoter reserves the right to cancel the event. The down payment is made, you will receive an e-mail booking confirmation and your participation is confirmend. The remaining amount must be paid 35 days before the event begins, otherwise the organizer reserves the right to cancel the participation.
The reservation of a Walk or other Activities is valid only after full payment of the price, otherwise ÍG reserves the right to cancel the event. The payment will be made by bank wire transfer or oneline-booking. The booking confirmation you will receive after the deposit transaction. In exceptional cases you can pay bevor departure by cash payment. My customers need to pay any costs of money transfer itself.
By booking a Tour-Package, there is no statutory right of withdrawal.
2 prices
All prices include a booking fee about 5% of the whole price. It is not refundable.
Although ÍG makes no attempt to change the prices for TP, however some price increases may beyond our control (increase in fuel costs , significant fluctuations in exchange rates and prices third party subcontractors). Therefore ÍG reserves the right to change prices. Any price increase must be paid before the booked event.
3 Tour changes
Of course me and my partner companies stick to our agreements and comply with the program. Weather changes, unpredictable delays, a drop out of a partner company can make changes in the program necessary. If after receiving a booking from you a part of the Walk/TP turns out to be unavailable, Ísafjörður Guide will change, bearing in mind the quality standard and your expectations. Ísafjörður Guide reserves the right to modify any aspect of the tour as the flow and individual program points, change the route or cancel the event. The same applies if the delays, such as unforeseen delays in departure and arrival result.
Ísafjörður Guide refund all parts of your tour that are cancelled by us or one of our third party subcontractors, as I would like you to only pay for services provided.
Attempt to order a comparable service as a replacement or if the tour experience you were promised when you booked cannot be matched, ÍG will promptly inform you and refund your entire payment. Ísafjörður Guide reserve to demand necessitates additional costs in addition for change, modification, cancellation, postponement or delay.
Ísafjörður Guide reimbursed payments for all parts of the Walk/TP, which will be canceled by him or any of its subcontractors, because you only pay for the services you receive it. However, ÍG will try to get a comparable service or replacement. If you are not satisfied with the replacement or the tour do not meet your expectations, I will refund your entire payment. Ísafjörður Guide reserve to demand necessitates additional costs in addition for change, modification, cancellation, postponement or delay..
4 Cancellation, delays and charges
If you wish to cancel your booking after it has been confirmed, you must contact ÍG without delay and confirm the cancellation in writing.
For Walks, other Activities and TP´s: If you withdraw from the already booked Walk, other Activity or TP raises ÍG from the 35th day to the 21st day before the Walk/Activity/Tour begins 20% of the agreed fee, to the 14th day 40%, to the seventh day 60% and up to 48 hours before 80%. In case of later cancellation or no-show the participants 100% of the agreed fee. ÍG waits only 15 minutes at the meeting point if the guest do not show up at the departure time.
After deducting these fees and charges, I will refund to you the remaining funds from the total booking amount. The participant has to prove that the damage caused is considerably lower than the amount demanded. The legal right of the customer to provide a substitute participant remains unaffected by the above conditions.
5 Higher forces
The ÍG are not liable if a Walk/TP cannot take place because of one of the following reasons: (directly or indirectly) strikes, trade disputes, fire, breakdowns, interruption of transport, political unrest, war and terrorism, bad weather, snow or ice or by governments issued travel warnings about eg alleged health risk. In these cases ÍG have the right to change the program or cancel the event. Here a full refund is not possible. We reserve the right to distribute some of our expenses equally between all participants and deduct them from the reimbursable travel price up to 10% of the price of the activity. All notifications of non-arrival must be received prior to the date of the activity (walk or tour) or any refund of the price cannot be given.
6 Responsibility and complaints
The participation in the event at their own risk and at your own risk and peril. The Promoter accepts no responsibility in case of accident, theft, loss or damage to property while participating in events as well as on the outward and return journey to this. The organizer is liable for any damage or loss that had been verrusacht by negligence.
Ísafjörður Guide accepts no responsibility whatsoever for your inability to participate in any part of the tour or activity due to inadequate health and fitness levels or unsuitable clothing. Tour participants are responsible for ensuring that they have the level of fitness and health required by the specific activity especially when involving outdoor adventure activities. Participants are also responsible for ensuring that they are suitably dressed in view of the weather and the activity. Handicaps would you kindly let us know when booking so that it would be to adjust the tour if it is possible. For any health consequences, no claims can be derived, if necessary, a consultation is recommended with your doctor before participating.
Complaints must be applied immediately, so that the Ísafjörður Guide or their partners have the opportunity to respond. If your complaint is not satisfactorily resolved, and you wish to pursue the matter after returning from vacation, your written complaint must arrive us within 14 days of your return. ÍG is not liable for a complaint or a problem , if they have not been expressed directly on the tour.
The organizer is only liable for damages or losses caused by negligence by him or one of his employees. For acts or omissions of a third party, which prevent the track, they are beyond the control of ÍG, ÍG accepts no responsibility.
You accept that:
a. Ísafjörður Guide act as an agent for third parties and subcontractors assume no liability for their acts or omissions.
b. Ísafjörður Guide are not liable for violations of the law by participants at the tours.
c) Ísafjörður Guide and his employees and contractors are not liable for loss of or damage to property of the participants directly or indirectly in the course of the Walk/TP, as well as for any injury, illness or death, unless it 's caused by the negligence or wrongful act of the employees of ÍG. Any claims for damages brought by or on your behalf, must be brought to our or to our insurers attention.
This agreement and including all matters arising from it, only subject to Icelandic law.
Travel insurance of all kinds are not included in the tour price.
