Over to the next valley
( 5 hours)
The hike goes from the Seljalandstal over a mountain ridge to the adjacent Hnífstal. The hike goes over rolling moss-covered hills, boulders and rugged rocks. Small lakes and crystal clear streams are characteristic.
Arrived at 600 m above sea level, the wide view over the landscape shaped by the ice ages is fascinating. In summer, the "beep" of the golden plover can be heard over long distances. Cotton grass seed tufts gently sway in the wind.
A car/bus drives the participants to the start of the hike at an altitude of 300 m and picks them up again in the next valley after the hike.
